I did have a touch of motorbike envy of his classic adventure bike.
I took a Drive out to Bokor National Park. I followed signs to the Ko Da Ta Waterfalls Resort; passing a huge Chinese run power station on the way. The resort is in an attractive forested valley with a rough steep, stony track leading to it. At first I was unimpressed just seeing a large pool with concrete overflow leading to it. Full of bathers taking to the cool water It wasn't a bad place to be; but I could not see any natural waterfalls.
New steps alongside a road under construction led to the main falls which are quite nice now but could be impressive in the rainy season. I happened to meet a young Khmer guy with impressive tattoos which have almost inspired me to put a large winged owl on my chest?

Batambang

https://www.peaceofasia.com/blog/batambang

https://www.peaceofasia.com/blog/batambang#comments

Uncategorized

Yet another visit to the Colonial city of Battambang; being only a 3 hour drive, its a good place for a weekend away or a detour on the way south to Phnom Penh or the Coast. It was so nice to be at Angkor with a good friend as opposed to a photo tour. I felt like a tourist for a change.
I took Lynda to Angkor Thom, Bayon, Angkor Wat on day 1 and a short day 2 at Prasat Kravan, Preah Khan (my favourite jungle temple). We took a look at the Famous Ta Prohm but we did not stay long as it was too crowded.

Party Time at the Start of the New Year

https://www.peaceofasia.com/blog/party-time-at-the-start-of-the-new-year

https://www.peaceofasia.com/blog/party-time-at-the-start-of-the-new-year#comments

Uncategorized

My old friend Lynda arrived from Southampton on the evening of 31st December 2016.I took her to many of my favourite location around Siem Reap and Angkor.
