THAILAND
Thailand has been considered by many as the gateway to South East Asia. That is still true today with good air and rail links to neighboring countries. With great beaches; spectacular cities and Buddhist art it has something for all.tastes.
Most of my travel in Thailand recently has been centered on the mega metropolis of Bangkok. I have visited the south and the coast as well. Thailand has plenty of cultural and visual interest for the photographer and like most places in SE Asia, its a relatively easy place for people photography. Ayuthaya north of Bangkok is a fascinating destination, Thailand's equivalent to Angkor is a lot smaller, but contains some very photogenic monuments.
My favourite place in Bangkok is Muang Borang; or Ancient Siam City. It a vast historical theme park which contains hundreds of recreations of ancient monuments; some in full size. Its worth spending a whole day there.
